Steve Irwin, the beloved conservationist, passed away in 2006 after being fatally injured by a stingray while filming at the Great Barrier Reef. His friend and cameraman, Justin Lyon, recalled Steve’s final moments, saying Steve calmly said, “I’m dying,” before passing away.

Steve’s love for wildlife inspired millions and lives on through his children, Robert and Bindi, and his wife, Terri Irwin. Steve and Terri met in 1991 and were married for 14 years. He once said it was love at first sight.

Terri has worked hard to preserve Steve’s legacy. In a 2025 interview, she revealed she remains single, saying, “I found my happily ever after. I’m lonely for Steve, but I’m not lonely. I have a lot of love in my life.”

She also addressed past rumors about dating actor Russell Crowe, stating they are just close friends and that he has been loyal and supportive since Steve’s passing.
